Leakage Current Detection Expert - MDXXXXTX1 Series

Today we recommended a very cost-effective leakage current sensor. This is the MDXXXXTX1A series launched by IVY METERING:

I. Similarities and differences of the leakage sensors with different connection modes:

1. Pins/ PCB installation only:Serial port communication (UART) can be carried out, leakage current alarm value can be set, no switch output, ac and DC leakage current can be output alarm output.

2.Cable/Wire only:The current alarm value is fixed, which cannot be set by the user, but its built-in switch control signal output can be matched with the relay to achieve the function of switch circuit on and off, and the leakage current of alternating current and direct current can be alarm output.

3. Pin & Cable installation:Integrated with the above functions, serial port communication (UART) can be carried out, and leakage current alarm value can be set autonomously, as well as switch control signal output. Both AC and DC leakage current can alarm output.

4.Reverse output type: In normal operating state, the level and signal are continuously output. When leakage current is detected, the level and signal output are disconnected. The advantage is that the sensor itself can be excluded to a certain extent.

II. How to know the function of LED lights on the back and the alarm signal?

1. At the present stage, the LED serves as the power indicator. When the sensor is powered on, the LED will light up long.

2. Users can know the alarm situation by matching the horn/headlight/switch/display, etc.

III. What are the differences and advantages with Hall Current Sensors/Leakage Protectors on the market?

1. Hall current sensor has poor ability to process small current signals and is generally used to detect large currents

2. MD0630T41A series: DC±0.2mA at room temperature;AC±0.3mA, while most hall current sensors have low accuracy

3. The general leakage protector on the market basically detects the leakage current of AC current, while our AC DC leakage sensor can detect both AC & DC with alarming. If hall current sensor realizes the detection of small dc current, the cost is relatively high.
