Ordering Information of Current Transformer
Last time, IVY introduced the composition and principle of Current Transformer. Today, Let’s introduce the ordering information of Current Transformer. For those who are eager to buy Current Transformer, it is necessary to know the information in advance.
1.Model Number & Current:like DCT or CT, Brand name current value of transformer. Knowing the current is the first step when you are purchasing CT. When purchasing a transformer, you can know whether it can meet your need when you see its type. For example, one type of IVY: IVY-CT-05-80A is the transformer of IVY brand 80A.
2.Ratio: Ratio, it also means the turns for example 2000/2500/3000/customized. The current mentioned above refers to the primary current of the current transformer. The secondary current of the Current Transformer can be known through the the ratio. Or we can also know the the secondary current value can also be put forward directly.
3. Resistance Value: the common resistance value is 10/20 ohms. According to the needs of purchase, some of the Current Transformer can be customized.
4.Accuracy Class: precision is a very important factor when you are ordering one CT. It depends on the accuracy of the transformer you want to order. The higher accuracy class means higher price. Common precision are 0.1,0.2, 0.01, 0.02, and so on.
5.Frequency is also one of the ordering information, normally it’s 50Hz, 50~60Hz
6.Other functions like DC immunity, 500mT permanent magnetic immunity? Those that need DC function are a little more expensive than NDC. Relatively, NDC is more cheaper than NDC Current Transformers. However these functions are helpful to anti-tamper.
7.Output Termination: Some current transformers are needless to be customized. However, some need to be customized to adapt the application. You should pay attention to output terminal when ordering.
After introducing above 7 ordering information, I believe you can avoid a lot of blind spots and avoid some detours when you buy the Current Transformer. To learn more about the CT or how to better purchase it, please visit www.ivy-metering.com
