Relay Test Items and Test Methods
Recent years, magnetic latching relay, as a new type of energy-saving and environmental protection relay, has gradually developed in practical application. Many users do not know much about the detection items and methods of magnetic latching relay. Therefore, today let me make a simple introduction to it.
1.Test Items:
The test of magnetic latching relay was carried out according to JB/ T10923-2010. The test items are divided into factory test and type test. The test items are shown in Table 1, of which the factory test items only include serial numbers 1-6 and type test includes all items in below table.

2.Test methods
1. Appearance, dimensions: The main appearance and installation dimensions of the relay (and its accessories) should meet the requirements in the detailed specifications.
2. Coil resistance: Unless otherwise specified, the reference temperature should be 20C. The coil resistance should be measured by the bridge method between the leading ends of the relay coil.
3. Contact voltage drop: The contact resistance is measured by voltammetry. The coil should be excited with the rated excitation volume and subjected to three test cycles. The basic voltage drop should be measured within 10s when the contact is closed and the current flows.
4. Dielectric withstand voltage: Test according to 6.14 of CB/T145598.3- -2006 and the conditions specified in 2.4 of this standard.
5. Insulation resistance shall be tested according to the requirements of 6.2.2 of GB/T145598.3- -2006.
6. High temperature: according to GB/T2423.2 test BA provisions and the following conditions: test temperature: 70 test time: 2h coil excitation: 60 times /h rated pulse voltage test, the application of indicator light (12V, 2A) to monitor the working condition of the contact.
7. Low temperature: according to the provisions of GB/Ab T2423.2 experiment and under the following conditions: temperature test: - 40 test time: 2 h coil motivation: 60 times/h pulse voltage rating experiment, application of light (12 v, 2 a) overseeing the work of contact constant humid: according to the rules of the CB/T2423.3 and under the following conditions: relay in the non-work state test time: 2 h coil motivation:
8. Steady damp-heat: after 60 times of rated pulse voltage test /h, test the operating voltage value in the test chamber, then take the relay out of the chamber and restore it under normal test atmosphere conditions for no less than LH or no more than 2h, and then test its insulation resistance and contact voltage drop.
9. Vibration: according to CB/T2423.10, and the test under the following conditions: the relay is in the non-working state, no packaging test procedure: unit is A frequency range: 10Hz~ 150HZ60Hz, after the test, check the structure of the relay, and test its insulation resistance and contact pressure drop 10.
10. Impact: It is carried out according to GB/T2423.5, and the experiment is carried out under the following conditions: the relay is in non-working state, and the peak acceleration of the half-wave sinusoidal pulse without packaging: 150m/s
11.Electrical clearance and creepage distance measurement:The electrical clearance and creepage distance between the lead ends of the relay load loop.
12.Contact load: rated contact current is applied to contact load (0.5~1) h, and then test point 13 is measured after thermal balance is reached.
13.Impulse voltage: It shall be in accordance with the provisions of 6.1 in GB/ T14598.3-2006 and under the following conditions.
14.Overload: The test current is 1.5 times the rated current, the coil is excited at rated voltage, and the operation frequency is 100 times (10+1) times per minute B. The test current is 30 times rated current, the action time is 10ms, the test is 3 times, the test interval is at least 1min, after the test, check the damage of the relay.
15. Mechanical life: test conditions: normal environment test conditions input rated excitation concentration contact load: 10mV~50mV (direct current or AC peak), 10μA ~ 50μA after test, test and mechanical conditions and test the dielectric voltage resistance, insulation resistance and contact contact pressure drop.
16. Electrical Life: Test conditions: normal environment test conditions input rated excitation resistive load, cycle less than 300 times per hour, duty cycle 1:4, contact in the completion of the specified number of action 10%,50%, 75%, should check whether the contact failure, after testing and mechanical conditions and test the medium voltage resistance, insulation resistance and contact contact pressure drop.
Magnetic latching relay has the advantages of small size, low power consumption, strong load capacity, safety and reliability, long life, etc. It is mainly used in IC card prepaid meter, centralized meter reading system, and widely used in charging piles and solar panels.
