UL certified IM-NE801A relay: a key component in the American standard EVSE system

Pulished on Feb. 13, 2025

Established by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the most common types of charging stations being installed today is the:

SAE Level 2 (equivalent to International Electrotechnical Commission [IEC] Mode 3): A level with a 240V single-phase, 19.2kW, and up to 80A (typically 32A) for residential and commercial use.

Charging stations are typically housed in a National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) rated enclosure that can be a box on the charging cable, a wall-mounted unit, or a tower. AC power goes into the enclosure, either through a plug (mostly for portable units) or a hardwired connection, and a cable comes out of the enclosure with a connector that connects to the vehicle’s charging port. In its simplest form, a charging station contains a main relay for switching power to the vehicle on or off, a control module that controls the main relay, and a power supply, typically 12VDC, that powers the control module and relay.

UL certified IM-NE801A relay: a key component in the American standard EVSE system

IVY company's products include power relays, new energy relays, magnetic latching relays, motor relays and other products, all of which have passed UL, TUV, CQC and other domestic and international safety certifications as well as RoHS and REACH related certifications. In order to continuously meet market needs and promote carbon neutral development needs, a high-cost-effective high-current low-temperature rise relay is specially created for new energy charging piles.

IVY Metering IM-NE801A UL certified relay is now available! With a switching capacity of up to 40 amps / 277 VAC (normally open contact 2FormA), this relay sets new standards in terms of performance and reliability in a compact design. With TÜV, UL/CUR and CQC approvals, it ensures the highest safety standards and reliability in various applications.

1.With high short-circuit current capability, it is suitable for relays used for safe disconnection of the AC side of EV charger

2.Compliant with IEC 61810-1/UL508 standard

3.Achieves short-circuit capacity of 1000Arms

4.Meets the standards required by American standard EV charger

5.Small relay with printed circuit board terminal type

6.Low power consumption, low temperature rise

7.Large insulation distance, safer

8.Main contact gap reaches 3mm

Through continuous technological innovation, the company's products have been widely used in many well-known charging pile companies. The company has many relays to choose from in the areas of charging piles, smart meters and industrial control. Welcome to come and buy!
