Product Details

This is a RCD and GFCI sensor that complies with the UL2231-2 standard, and its leakage protection type is CCID20. The AC leakage protection threshold is 15~20mA, and the DC leakage protection threshold is 40×1.414=56.56mA. It also protects against mixed leakage current and high-frequency leakage. When the leakage current in the line reaches the above alarm threshold, it will output a leakage alarm signal (OC gate output). In addition, it has a self-test function, which can be used to determine in real time whether the sensor is in a normal working state. If the sensor fails, the self-test output terminal will not be able to output the self-test feedback signal (Open Collector Output), so this leakage sensor will be safer and more reliable in the field of leakage protection.

It's to avoid hazardous situations in cases where the vehicle battery (DC) is connected to the home power supply (AC). Generally, AC/DC sensitive residual current sensors can be used where direct current and alternating current circuits are directly connected and therefore AC/DC leakage currents can occur. We are committed to providing simple, safe and reliable leakage protection solutions for the safety of electricity use for the majority of users.

CCID5 and CCID20

The protection range of CCID5 for AC leakage is 5±1mA, and DC is 30mA. It also protects against DC+AC mixed leakage current and high frequency. The protection range of CCID20 for AC leakage is 15~20mA, and DC is 40X1.414=56.56mA. It also protects against mixed leakage current and high frequency leakage. Similar to the B-type leakage protection in the European standard, it is necessary to protect against various complex leakages and also consider the hazards of DC leakage. However, it is very different from the European standard. We know that there is a DC 6mA protection requirement in the European standard, which is a requirement for magnetic protection to prevent DC leakage from causing DC bias magnetic effect on other devices in the charging system that perform leakage protection based on the principle of mutual inductance, thereby causing protection failure. The protection threshold of DC leakage in UL2231 is greater than that of AC. Obviously, the focus is on the direct damage caused by DC to the human body.
