Product Overview
MD0630T01A is an automotive grade leakage current sensor also called residual current monitoring (RCM), residual current detection (RCD), differential current sensor. Which has the characteristics of accurate measurement, small size and integration. The leakage sensor has a leakage alarm and digital output function, which can directly read the current value of DC and AC.
This residual current monitor is intended for the detection of DC and AC Residual currents in EV Charging Stations where such currents may flow under a fault condition. The RCD/RCM device may be used to detect 6mA DC or 30mA AC Residual Currents in DC, single phase or 3 phase installations, it is ideally suited for use with Electric Vehicle charging cables (Mode 2 Protection) and EV charging stations (Mode 3 Protection). When a residual fault current that exceeds the rated AC or DC level is detected, It will signal to the Smart EVSE.

To satisfy new standards including IEC 62955, IEC 62752, IEC 61851-1,and UL 2231-1 etc, the charging of electric vehicles requires leakage current sensors to avoid hazardous situations in cases where the vehicle battery(DC) is connected to the home power supply(AC). Generally, AC DC Sensitive residual current sensors can be used where DC and AC circuits are directly connected and therefore AC DC leakage currents occur. Our evse components would be required to guarantee safety in the event of DC fault current.
